One Direction 2013 Tour

When it comes to One Direction’s career, you could say there is much more to come. After finishing in third place on the seventh season of the popular television series The X Factor, One Direction was sure to be a success!

The One Direction album Up All Night became a huge hit in the United Kingdom in 2011. When it debuted in the United States in 2012, it reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200, making them the first UK group to ever debut at No. 1 with their first album in the country.

One Direction songs like “Gotta Be You”, “One Thing” and of course “What Makes You Beautiful” reached the top ten on the UK Singles Chart, making the album Up All Night an album for the merits.

As of May 2012 the quintet began recording their second studio album in Sweden. The One Direction band had been busy on tour over the course of 2011 and early 2012. So now they are focused on songwriting for the next album. Harry from One Direction stated in an interview, “We’re always writing on the road and in hotels and airports. We don’t ever want our music to sound like a 40-year-old man in an office has written it and given it to us to perform.”

One Direction’s world tour is booked to be kicked off in February 2013. The tour will be performed in the United Kingdom, Australasia, Ireland and North America. So far, the tour consists of 101 shows, and American tour dates are readily available on your preferred ticket holder’s website!

Tour tickets sales reached 300,000 within the day in which they were available for purchase. Due to overwhelming demand, the group added additional shows. In Australia and New Zealand, tickets grossed $15.7 million, selling out all of the shows in that area! Needless to say, plan ahead before One Direction tickets sell out for your area!
