Love Letter from Michael Jackson removed from auction

Recently, the items of the deceased music icon, Michael Jackson, have been set to be put up for auction. Among these items are shoes worn on stage, as well as costumes, various apparels, and some of the many accessories worn by the king of pop himself.

However one of the items that would be put up has been removed from the auction. This item happens to be a love letter written to Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley and ex-wife of Michael Jackson. The couple was married from June 1994 to January 1996 when Presley filed for divorce for irreconcilable differences.  They also spent the following four years being an on-and-off couple trying to reconcile.

The letter read, “Lisa I truly need this rest. I haven’t slept literally [sic] in 4 days now. I need to be away from phones and business people. I must take care of my health first.” The letter was concluded with, “I’m crazy for you. Love, Turd.” Apparently Turd was a nickname for Jackson, at least I would assume.

Michael Jackson struggled from insomnia, a condition preventing him from sleep. He began using a drug called Propofol, which was the drug he overdosed on and passed away from. His doctor, Conrad Murray was sent to jail for four years after being guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

The owner of the letter told TMZ that, “I’m assuming it’s a personal nature, and we wanted to honor the request and continue our good relationship with Ms. Presley.”

Speaking of Elvis, Cirque du Soleil will be performing Viva Elvis, which is sure to be an awesome show, making a tribute to the king of Rock n’ Roll.  They will be performing from May 31 to August 18 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Aria Resort & Casino – Elvis Theatre.
